RPG Characters Paying Tribute

Gary Gygax, the creater of the first ever role playing game (RPG) died earlier this month. Gygax is the creater of Dungeons and Dragons, a tabletop board game which has inspired the modern Fantasy RPG we play today on computers and game consoles. More could be said about him and his influence on the computer gaming community, but I leave the reader to explore more about him and his work.

A digital memorial was organized by the gaming community, Sarlona to honor him. A memorial inside a video game. The battlefields were quiet, all warriors gathered at the Temple of the Sovereign Host, and "Amazing Grace" was sung via voice chat.

Witness the memorial here: Sarlona holds Gygax memorial
